My August Favorites

By

Hello everyone! It’s that time of the month where I share the things I consumed and what I think is worth watching, reading, or listening to! So without further ado…!

Golden Brown by The Stranglers

This song has been stuck in my head all month! After seeing so many edits about knights and princesses, castles and fairy tale lands all with this tune playing in the background, this song became magical to me.

So it came to my surprise when the song is actually believed to have a darker meaning. Still, the tune, has helped me get through the month, and music is what you make of it. So this song will always remind me of August 2025 for that reason alone ๐Ÿ™‚

KPop Demon Hunters (2025) Directed by Kris Appelhans and Maggie Kang

Chances are that if you haven’t been living under a rock, you’ve heard of this movie. It’s making waves on the internet and at the box office.

KPop Demon Hunters is about a girl kpop band of three, who manage to juggle the excitement and stress of the limelight while battling demons. I know, sounds like such an interesting plot! At first, I didn’t really know what to make of it. Once the music started though I knew that this was something special.

With songs like “Soda Pop” and “Golden” (another Golden song :D) becoming popular online, it’s catchy tunes, stylized animation, and breathtaking performances make this the ultimate summer movie to see!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

I know, I’m a little late to the party. This book is one in a series of five books, and I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll be honest I did watch some episodes of the tv show before starting the book. So I ended up pausing on the show and reading the book and wow, what a unique story!

This book follows the adventures of Percy Jackson, a son of Poseidon. He ends up at a place called Camp Half Blood where he meets friends who help him on his quest to save his mother from Hades in the underworld.

As someone who loves to write, I felt like this book perfectly encapsulates the type of writing I try to do. There’s endless action and humor, it’s really the perfect escape if you need it. I recommend it for younger and older readers alike!

Well, that concludes my favorites of the month! ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you guys check them out and tell me what you think! Here’s to a great September. ๐Ÿ‚
