With the endless fall activities and parties that popped up left and right, I completely almost forgot to contribute my favorites of the month. This month was filled with so many rich experiences in terms of media. I can’t wait to share with you guys all the things I enjoyed in October.
So without further ado here are my favorites of the month! ๐
We Fell in Love in October by Girl in Red
This song was arguably THEE song of the month, also my favorite! I loved it’s beautifully romantic lyrics. Perfect for the fall season and perfect to daydream. This song has become a tradition to listen to every time October rolls around.
Using it to frame my month, I posted some pics and videos with this song playing in the background. Now when I listen to it, I will always remember, pottery painting, pumpkin patches, and fall walks.
Whether it’s daydreaming about that special person in your life, or the hope of something special coming. This is a song made for the yearners!
Trick ‘r Treat (2007) directed by Michael Dougherty

I actually got to see this for the first time on Halloween night. ๐ It was great, I turned off all the lights, lit a candle, ate some cookies and settled in under my blanket to watch this. Even Bruce, my black cat, slept at the foot of my bed… How more spooky could you get?
This film holds five halloween stories each different levels of scary and unnerving. The main theme? Not all things are as they seem. Each story represents a different age group and phase in life and what Halloween means to them.
I highly recommend it for your October watching, and will watch it myself again next year!
The Vampyre by John William Polidori

This story is probably the first known story that introduced the idea of the “vampire”. Written in 1819, it follows Aubrey, a wealthy young man who encounters a man by the name of Lord Ruthven.
With his unnatural pallor, charismatic banter, and strange behavior, Aubrey quickly realizes that Lord Ruthven is not human. It’s the perfect story for October and one of my favorites of the month!
